W r i t i n g

When he was very young, Ron Meebeek develops an illogical fear of the written word.  It comes after an unfortunate incident in the Geelong Public Library which sets his desire to shout out against the library’s need for quiet.  But despite this cruel censorship, he still has the innate need to tell stories, and for most of his life he tries to do this through the various visual mediums.

It isn’t until his final and irrevocable split with the art world that he finally picks up the metaphorical pen and begins writing.  In just three, short years, he produces over ten short stories, three novellas and five novels… and counting!

Included here are a changing selection of the stories - many seen for the first time - as well as (just to whet your appetite), the first few chapters of three of his novels.

So switch on the Anglepoise, settle back in your red velour, Jason recliner-rocker, and be prepared to have your mind truly blown (away)!
